Melissa Joan Hart brings her unique magic to The WB this fall when Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, the hit series with adults 18-34 and the number one-ranked show among female teens, begins its fifth season.

This season of the bewitching coming-of-age comedy marks a turning point as Sabrina (Hart) begins her new life in college at John Adams College, getting her first taste of independence and the responsibility of being on her own. Living away from home for the first time, with new friends and newfound freedom, Sabrina will be faced with all of the challenges of young adulthood, but life becomes a touch more complex when one just happens to be a witch. She realizes that growing up, just like magic, isn't quite as easy as pointing your finger.

When Sabrina moves into a house off campus, her eccentric aunts are determined to remain in her life. Aunt Zelda (Beth Broderick) takes a position as a professor at the university, and Aunt Hilda (Caroline Rhea) buys the coffeehouse where Sabrina works part-time. Salem (voice of Nick Bakay), a mischievous witch doing penance as a black cat, divides his time between living at college and staying with the aunts, depending upon what best serves him at the moment.

Sabrina finds that even in life after high school, her social life presents the greatest dilemmas. Harvey has broken up with her, but she remains close friends with Josh (David Lascher, Blossom), a pre-law student at nearby Emerson College, who would like to be romantically involved with Sabrina. She, however, is fearful that her otherworldly powers will get in the way of a meaningful relationship.

While having fun is still Sabrina's credo, now she has the new challenge of keeping her special powers a secret from the people who live under the same roof. Three new characters who play a significant part in Sabrina's new life at college will be introduced this season: they are roommates Roxie (Soleil Moon Frye, Punky Brewster), a tough, streetwise girl in marked contrast to Sabrina's perky outlook; and Miles (Trevor Lissauer), who is into all things extra-terrestrial but doesn't realize he has a witch living right under his nose. Supposedly keeping a watchful eye over these freshmen is Morgan (Elisa Donovan, Clueless), a resident advisor who lives upstairs and is too busy finding her own trouble to keep the students on the straight and narrow.

Paula Hart serves as executive producer along with Bruce Ferber, who spent five years as executive producer of Home Improvement. Sabrina, the Teenage Witch is produced by Hartbreak Films in association with Viacom Productions Inc.
